I will be presenting “Enterprise Data Mining with SQL Server” at the March 3, 2012 SQL Saturday #109 in Silicon Valley.  Registration is required for this free event, which I expect will have a waiting list.  This post provides the details.

This event is being produced under the leadership of Mark Ginnebaugh.  Mark is an area leader, past PASS Board member, and also in the Microsoft MVP program.  Mark invited me to participate since I am in the Microsoft MVP program, and I am looking forward to talking data mining in a geographic area known to have people interested in data mining.

This time, I focus on the techniques including:

    • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
    • Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)
    • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
    • PowerShell

All these tools are required to make data mining a truly enterprise activity, one which transcends just the expert data mining analyst.   I will always believe that large organizations are best served with formally trained data miners (on staff and consultants) but we also need an infrastructure to leverage their work for 24*7 operation.

I am currently scheduled to present at 2:45 pm according to the schedule posted to http://sqlsaturday.com/109/schedule.aspx

You can register for the event at this link: http://sqlsaturday.com/109/eventhome.aspx
